Day #3 of the 31-day change with Mel Robbins.
Today's lesson was again an eye opener. We have an easier time making decisions for a friend than we do for ourselves because it is easier for us to not get emotion involved in looking at a friend's problem. We are even able to look at it from different angles to come up with a better solution.
But, when we ourselves have a problem, we let emotion get in the way of our decision making process. What will my family think? What will friends say? Will I hurt someone with my choice.
Going forward, when you (or I) have a decision to make, try looking at it as a friend's problem, and not your own. You are then easier able to put the emotion aside and make a more clear decision.
I'm gonna try it! I'll let you know how it works.
